The Selene Linen Trousers are designed for comfort without compromising on polish. Crafted from lightweight linen with a fluid, wide-leg shape, they feature a moon embroidered motif at the hem. An easy button-fastening style, ideal for day-to-evening wear in warm climates.
Selene, the personification of the moon as a goddess, was worshipped at the new and full moons. According to Hesiod's Theogony, her parents were the Titans, her brother was Helios, the sun god, and her sister was Eos (Dawn). She is said to drive her moon chariot across the sky every night, a myth that helped the ancient Greeks understand the movement of the sun and moon across the sky. The crescent moon was also a symbol of femininity, protection, and cycles of renewal.
